SummaryClinical studies havefound that forkhead that forkhead transcription factors (FoxO) play animportant role in diabetes mellitus, strokeand aging. FoxO3, a member of  FoxO  O subgroup, widely expressed in various tissues and involved in maintaining homeostasisand regulating a variety of pathophysiological processes. FoxO3 is also significantly associated with lifespan and age-related diseases such as cancer and diabetes mellitus. In this article we will make a brief review on the relationship between FoxO3 and diabetes and its complications.
